just so very bad

Typical: so eager to go home that everyone overlooks Maya's feelings! She fits in on Alpha, where everyone is a refugee. On Earth...? Particularly one as dead as Psychon. apparently was! I remember reading in Starlog Magazine when this was. on the air. Since the studio's. in England, they filmed in the English countryside, but had trouble finding someplace that would pass. for Scotland. Finally, they just put a few plants. like heather around. Since 1999 was made for an American audience, I wonder if they realized. how few would notice?

One thing that bothered me about this episode was the whole "we destroyed the earth with pollution" thing. Certainly earth's survivors would have taken greater care of the planet? A more plausible idea would be that the environment suffered such great damage when the moon blew out of orbit. But then I'm not Fred Freiberger, I have better ideas ;) lol

Too bad they missed the prediction on the 1998 World Series, which was the Yankees over the Padres. If they had gotten it right.... spooky.

I picked an appropriate episode to watch on New Year's Day,but I miss Victor.2nd season is quite a downgrade from the 1st.

No competitive sports. No futuristic puritans. This not Texas.

One of the better episodes......

I used to love this show..
I still do, but I used to too. -

One of the best episodes of series 2. Also liked Immunity Syndrome, Dorcons, Bringers of Wonder, Seed of Destruction, AB Chrysalis, Dorzak...the ones not written by Fred Frieberger under the name Charles Woodgrove! :)

In 1339 it would have been to arrive in Italy, during Renaissance not in the savage Scotland :)
-
This is my favorite ep of s2. IMO it had more of a s1 feel, as did eps like The Lambda Factor and The Immunity Symdrome. I preferred eps that didn't do too much with Maya changing forms all the time.

That's the biggest flaw of the episode (other than the Alphans being able to pick up the signals from the indicators that were back in the fourteenth century). -
My question is if this neutrino transmission stuff was so cutting edge new how did old moonbase alpha have the ability to decode and transmit via neutrino transmission without even struggling to first calibrate to the new system.
The constellation should not have stopped neutrinos used in the transmission. -
The circular Texas City console was leftover from the base section of Mentor's biological computer on "The Metamorph". It was also used on "The Exiles" in the Golos life-support chamber.
-
Anyone else think that the base on Earth looks a bit like the interior of the Tardis (in particular the 'console' area)? Considering this is a 'time travel' episode, I wonder if there was a slight (but not too obvious) nod to Dr Who here.

Freddie Jones rules this episode, check out his line at 45.23, classic Jones!
-
Freddie Jones is still with us-- they could throw a few pounds at a body and totally redub his line with Yankees over Padres. Then let the noobs & rubes believe Biff Tannen walks the Earth.

Koenig should've asked who won the '94 Series. But I guess he already pulled the trick question with Gagarin.

Six years later the curse was broken - and against the Cardinals.
