Space:1899
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
What would happen if you took an episode of Gerry Anderson's classic sci-fi series Space:1999 and treated it like a silent movie? Well, maybe something like this. Produced by us (Ill-Conceived Productions) for a Space:1999 convention in 2000, and later included as a bonus feature on the excellent DVD "Space:1999 and UFO - The Documentaries" by Fanderson, the official Gerry Anderson Appreciation Society.

ah, ah, ahh... fantastic!!! :D

oh I've had an idea could you ple-e-e-ase do a space 1899/ufo version. Make it dramatic full of angst and humour too. As a tribute to that wonderfully brilliant actor the late Ed Bishop and fellow actors it would be interesting to see what you all come up with. I am missing ufo and space 1999.

Sort of liked it and not at the same time. Thanks for posting . Interesting premise. Enjoyed it nonetheless.

50 years and 2 generations from now, some people may think this does date from 1899, (even the music is 1 to 3 decades younger). Ah, how am I kidding, everyone who has ever heard of Ray Kurzweil knows all our brains will be part-digital then.

That was great!

Yeehaa! We're gettin' laid tonight!
-
Immeasurably better than the original. :-)

LMFAO!!! Loved this show as a kid. Remember the space warp ep well !!!! Was the only sci-fi show I've ever really liked. Thanks for the laugh! Loved it. :-)

Good fun and thanks for the memories. I watched it at first run when I was about 7. Thought it was great and so did my big brother who was 10. Was one of my favourite shows along with Dr Who and The Tomorrow People.
Only suggestion would be to change Koenig's response to Tony's "we're getting laid tonight" from yes to sweet, it matches his lip movement much better. -
I still do not know why I watched the original. The premise that a nuclear explosion caused the moon to travel the galaxy was too much to swallow. Or WAS IT MEANT TO BE FUNNY when I was expecting a serious show? (When I was younger I took the Batman TV series as a serious show ... as a kid the silliness went right over my head.)

this was played at the end of the reception following Gerry Anderson's funeral and ensured we all left on a high note!
