Sonic X-Treme - Space Queens (StereoPixel Mix)
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Sonic X-treme was an game SEGA/Sonic Team was developing back in the days of the Sega Saturn. Sadly the game was canned and never released. The soundtrack however did make its way online. I wanted to remix a track from this game to show my respects to it, I'll never know if it was going to be a bad or a great game but it's a Sonic game from the classic era that sadly never made it...

Mind if I use this in a fan game? I'll credit you, of course.

Wow this is anazing good job eh, what program did you use to make this remix?
-
Why thank you! :) And in that section you mentioned I have a slightly altered version of the main melody playing just ahead of it to give it a delay effect, Just layering thats all but it does give a complex feel to it. I listen to a LOT of orchestral trailer music and film scores so maybe some of that rubbed off into this! :)

Too bad this game never got released. :( I mean, I understand that Spinball wasn't that big a hit which is probably why Yuji Naka rejected it, but he could've just kept it unreleased in Japan. If Japan didn't like SATAM, then why not do that instead?

Thanks dude! :P And I've actually attempted to remix Metal Sonic's theme from Episode 2 multiple times but never been happy enough with the result to upload it. I keep going back every now and then to retry though so expect it one day :)!

I was the same about the original.. The melody had some real potential though.. I just made it feel more "Outer Spacey" :) Glad you liked it dude :)

Honestly, I never obsessed over the original's instruments, but loved the melody, so I didn't think much of it. But you giving this a more snazzy feel changed my opinion on it. Outstanding job yet again!
