+Vahkiti AFAIK, it's not one of the devs which worked on Sonic Xtreme that started Project AXSX, but I think it was a fan. But the dev did tag along. Also, before AXSX, there was something similar but it was called Project S (or something similar)

One of the devs released the soundtrack and a remake based on leaked videos and level models is in the works called Project AXSX.
