Solar System DIY - 320 Watt, 3000 Watt Aims Inverter, Coleman Air c440-hva 10,000W Charge Controller

This is my system in short, more info and tutorial video coming about all I have done and how I got to this point. It was 1-2 years of preparation, research, learning the hard way etc. FYI, about the Charge Controller, I'm currently getting a new one thanks to Coleman Air... :) This one was the wrong type for my system and not the fault of Coleman Air... :O. I will put an update to this when I get it all update etc. * (2) 160W Monocrystalline solar panels = 320W, 24V system. I have 4 more 100 watt panels since creating this video, will update soon... ) * I have the Coleman air c440-hva 10,000W controller. * AIMS Power (PWRIG300024120S) 3000W 24V Pure Sine Inverter with GFCI. * (10) 50ah = 500ah Bats, which of this I can safely use down to 70% or 350ah or to 24.6v, NO less as some site/forums/blog tell you that 50% is fine, but don't go past this, IMHO. * 500w GTI, but I will need to get a new one that is UL-1741 certified as I need to get my interconnection done here in NC with Duke, more info on this soon. So right now its disconnected... :(, as I was charged for feeding back to the grid because I have the new digital meter that WAS turning backwards and did generate 200kw one month in power, but was charged for this since its the wrong meter and I didn't have my interconnection done... :( Allot of videos on YouTube about this don't tell you this! I'm able to run my side-by-side fridge which I tested on a volt/watt plug meter at peak times 650wats, idle only 134wats, some lights with the energy saving 10w = 60w, my entertainment system about 100w, fan about 70wats and this inverter runs smooth with the fan only coming on every once in a couple hrs. So far I'm VERY happy. This is my 5th inverter RIP to the rest of them as this one is holding up great! I will make updates as I go. Check out more solar DIY etc. info @ http://SolarServiceGuy.com

great video.. keep posting..

you can use inplix instructions to build it yourself guys.

If I were to operate only a 1 100watt panel on a 12V battery, is it necessary to use a GFI receptacle inverter (pure sinewave) or just stick to the basic PMW??

There are others claiming that polycrystalline is more efficient and suppose to produce more on cloudy days, rather than Mono. Did your providers tell you that mono is the more efficient?

I made it by myself. Just go to Inplix webpage if you'd like do the same

good video, but I've heard if you're going to connect to your home you need to consult qualified electrician and power company. if you burned down your house homeowners insurance may not cover if you diy. just my thoughts. enjoyed your video

You can make it yourself, just loook and learn from INPLIX .

HI, I'm not sure if you have another set of 8 - 50ah batteries hiding under the set we see, be use if you only have 8 batteries at 50ah each hooked up series / parallel mode then you only have a 200ah battery bank not 400. Nice setup :) one day i'll get off my butt and film mines :)

24 v system should max charge to around 28.8 vdc then float charge to around 27.6 vdc

Nice pick on the batteries, that's a good charge controller for off grid wind power but your going to kill those batteries quick by over charge. And you would get more power in with a mppt charge controller even a epsolar which I have been running for 2 years would give you 30 percent more power from your panels.

Inplix has the best handbooks and ready instructions. You can learn much from them and make it yourself.

You can learn from inplix scripts how to make it yourself.
