Solar Power - No Batteries

Running solar power using only panels, charge controllers, capacitors, inverters and the load - in this case a 5W guitar tube amp. This method works for anything that will run problem free on 12 - 15V, or on an inverter. I actually had to turn the amp down, as it was plenty loud to disturb the neighbours.

Cool video - 2 questions: Is that a Stealton Classic-5 amplifier? Also, why do you have fans on your tomato plants? Nice guitar too! :D

I am GRREEAATT. I like the sound of your idea. Keep me posted.

Serious now... Do you notice any hum or buzzing as opposed to plugging into a normal wall setup?

Play Freebird!

Very nice simple setup. Cheaper too and extremly low maintainence. LOL. Great guitar work.

Well done, nice guitar lick ! What is the fan doing to the plants ? Or is this some kind of water pump ?

Very cool setup...nothing to worry about when the sun shines :)
Got some tomatoes going myself...about the same height and i'm much further South. The 5 plants are using a gallon of water a day, thirsty buggers.
