Solar Energy Scenario in Bangladesh

Electricity and livelihood development is the two sides of a coin. It is certain that in course of time there will be no conventional fuel reservation in our planet for production of electricity. Renewable energy technology will be the ultimate source of energy to produce electricity. At present, cost of renewable energy technology for production of electricity is comparatively higher than production cost of electricity by using conventional energy resources. Unfortunately in developing country most of the under privilege people who live in remote area has no access to grid electricity. As a result they cannot use their full potential for the development of their livelihood. However renewable energy technology can be a solution for generating electricity in remote rural area but due to high investment cost of technology such (under privilege) people cannot afford the technology. Appropriate financing mechanism and guaranteed support service can popularize the PV technology in remote rural areas. To address the issue ECO Distribution Limited (EDL) was founded in 2010 by a group of committed people who have long experience in renewable energy sector. We try t do our best practice to keep the eco system of our planet in harmony.
