Serenity Space Battle (Original Scene, Audio, etc)

The space battle in Serenity between the Alliance and the Reavers, original audio! Didn't see this on YouTube so thought I'd upload it after reading some comments. *Note: the audio is a little messed up for about two seconds in the beginning but is normal for the rest of it. I did not have Sony Vegas when I did this so I had to use Movie Maker which I hate. I will probably upload a better, full screen HD version of this scene in the future.

What I wish the studio could have done for firefly, first of all I WISH IT WASNT FUCKING CANCELLED, they should have finished off season 1 then used serenity (the film) as the finale but not have killed of Shepard book or wash because they both were great characters, then carried The show on for at least another 3 seasons, there is so much great episode ideas that could involve, niska, the alliance, the reavers, river and so much more. Why the FUCK did fox have to cut of firefly. That was the shittest move ever. Firefly is one of my favorite tv shows ever with such a diverse and interesting universe and really likable characters, not to mention serenity herself, the best looking ship EVER!!! FUCK YOU FOX YOU FESTERING BAGS OF SHIT JUST FUCK YOU

Klingons and Federation vs Reavers and Alliance! which would win?
-
I hope in Star Citizen you will be able to run from the UEE space fleet as a pirate and run right into a Vanduul fleet which is exactly a reenactment of this scene lol.
-
Best scene of the movie. Hands down.

...and now, Nathan Fillion is making statements to the effect that we should just let Firefly go, that we had a great run with the one series and the movie.
I disagree somewhat.
There are a lot of story points that didn't get explained between the end of 'Objects in Space', and the movie Serenity. I can understand the idea of Serenity being the end of the line, but if someone could see their way clear to even producing just one series to wrap up the outstanding plot ideas, (Shepard's standing with the Alliance, or the story of Inara's health causing her to leave, among others)...I'd be plenty happy, because the story arc beginning with the episodes 'Serenity' and 'The Train Job' could finally be completed.
Ah well, like the Stones said, "You can't always get what you want." -
HOT DAM! Now that's a space battle!
-
How did the Reavers build highly sophisticated spaceships?
-
And at 0:48, not a single pair of Alliance pants were un-shat that day.
-
Alliance get to fight their own creations was simply poetic justice.

*I believe I'm the wind.
Watch how I soar*
Okay........ -
Well if this doesn't make Serenity and her crew legends, I don't know what will.
-
Somebody fire!!!
-
I would of liked this movie a lot more if they simply hadn't killed off Wash at the end.

at 1:18 my high school senior quote, IN THE YEAR BOOK !!!!!!!!

Love this scene. Also, did you notice the Defender from Battlestar Galactica taking part in the battle masquerading as a reaver ship? Joss Whedon, you clever bastard. Also, does the Reaver galleon, that long skinny ship with a lot of smokestacks, look a little bit familiar? The hull shape should give it away. Does it not look similar to the Olympic Carrier Star Liner. The only differences being that the tail section is missing and replaced with bits of two oher Iconic ships, the Astral Queen, and Rising Star. The Reaver ship has 5 engines, 4 of them in the exact same configuration as the Rising Star's engines, the Astral Queen's bridge section was used on the front of the galleon to make it look like it once had a structure of some sort on the front. The only difference was that the bridge was crushed and pushed up to make it look like a dome. As for the smoke stacks, probably bits of debris gathered from other ships trapped in Reaver Space. The really big Reaver ship is no doubt a redress of one of the "Earth-that-was" ships from the intro. It looks as though the Reavers found it adrift in space and decided to fuse other ships to it to make it flyable again. Remember in the Intro there were 5 ships that left. 2 freighters, two Longbow class ships (civilian variant), and one what appeared to be a colony ship or refueling ship. At any rate, the last ship I mentioned was the ship the Reavers reused. It is comprised of part of the old colony ship, the top portion of one of the freighters with some extra stuff added on to make it more like a floating city as well as the engine configurations of both ships, and then they slapped on a pair of gigantic thrust vector engines, probably taken from some unfortunate civilian craft that strayed too close to it. At any rate, the front end of the ship looks like a modified and heavily damaged version of the front end of one of the ships of Battlestar Galactica's class. Just my views on the matter, you can make up your own conclusions as to what those two were made from. The rest are either remodeled Longbow class ships, Trans-U's, Pursuit craft and the like. There are also two, what look to be, refueling ships in their fleet, the ones that look like a cross between an AT-AT and and X-wing. Don't know what they were doing there, but oh well.... That's reavers for ya... "Stark, raving, totally blinking daft" (John Silver - Treasure planet) and insanely violent men and women (yes likely there had to have been a few of them, otherwise they'd have gone extinct through cannibalism by the time Mal and the Serenity found Miranda) who were out there to kill and kill and kill and kill and so on.

this wasn t in space, first there was sound, second, they were using the atmospheric thrusters, not their graviton accelerator engine in the back. but too bad there was no landing.
-
And this kind of sets Wash as the greatest space pilot ever, just in case his inertial approach to Nishka's station was too subtle. :)

I hope fights in Star Citizen will be like this.

Honestly, what annoys me most about Serenity is the lighting...look at the ships from Serenity's PoV, like 1:37. That's ridiculous blue shading to force the blue/orange lighting that the film uses ALL THE FRIGGING TIME, and it's really annoying.

It just amazes me that this movie was made on fifty million dollars.
