The latest plant-based experiment to take root on the International Space Station is called "Veg-01," and if it's successful, astronauts may soon be growing -- and eating -- their own extraterrestrial crops. aquaponics on mars , they could raise fish and veggies on mars, Aquponics could be done in zero gravity also

that's so cool. They might be able to start a biosphere of sorts and make a permanent or more permanent home and be able to become less dependent on help from "earth"
