RV Solar Living Basics: Panels and Charge Controllers
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Getting your RV motorhome solar-powered is one of the key points to getting off grid. This is 1 of 4 videos introducing basics about an entire RV solar set up including panels and charge controller (MPPT vs PWM). Upcoming videos in the series will cover inverters vs converters, AC/DC power, batteries and how to calculate your own personal usage. Stay tuned, too, for a solar panel build from scratch as well as a full installation of a solar set up in my RV. Along with posting questions, answers and partaking on the RV living community at http://www.pippenings.com you can now read and comment on my personal blog which will features posts and topics ranging from RV DIY renovations to RV living to more Pippenings :) Join me there and be sure to get your "Keep It Simple" bumper sticker! thanks wow learning lots

😊😊😊😊😊

The best explanation I ever heard. I have an electrical engineering background and learned a lot. THANKS...!
-
i never thought i would be learning about solar technology from you. You are very resourceful 😀

I find you very endearing because in-spite of having made probably hundreds of these videos now. You still get tongue tied and flustered. I understand the time constraints and other challenges.both personal and technical. But you seem so uneasy on camera. It is actually a good quality as you engender a paternal instinct in both men and women. Considering what I really know about you is limited but such things as video vlogging and belly dancing yet you retain an innocence of character that is very charming. I used to own a small talent agency in NYC. I've retired now and live on my sailboat in the Bahamas. But have you considered persuing a career in the entertaiment business beyond your belly dancing ?
Mind you I am retired , but I do know quite a few people and could point you in the right direction if you so desired ? -
You could totally teach high school :). Maybe travel around and fill short term positions in a state. But anyhow im sure you like your life now. I was just thinking if I had a teacher like you I woulda learned a lot! :)

I really like the depth of your information I've learned more from your explanations than from the WYNNS or any of the other RV channel's I'm planning on 1200 watts of solar with lithium ion batteries & pure sine wave inverter with appropriate charge controller.

Her energy and passion radiates off her ridiculously.. There aren't many people left in the world like her anymore, it gives you hope kinda that good people still reside on earth.

Great job Pippi, I just watched all of you solar system videos. Your videos are the best, most comprehensive and easy to understand videos I have ever seen. Thank you and keep up the great work.
-
Well done, thanks for posting.

Wow this has helped me to pick what I need for my RV project thank you!

I'm really charged up about this shockingly understandable explanation. Seriously this is a great video series. Thank you for sharing your expertise and making it understandable for the commoner.
-
Pipi you need a hobby.lol.

I think all this information gave me a brain wart.
-
Great video, but I'll have to watch it a few more times.🔄

Love seeing a smart girl on YT. So proud of you.

After 15 years of on/off RVing I came to the conclusion the best solution was a mix of solar and petrol generated electricity. I may not use my generator all that much (mostly to recharge batteries and watch the news on TV if I can get reception), but I would have been seriously inconvenienced a number of times without it. I don't think a rejection of tested technology is the answer to escaping society.
Good vids, Pippi. -
No thanks. I do not stay tuned on the internet. I just click. And during the weekends, i may even do some doubleclicking...
Great effort doing this! Have been solarclicking a year allready, but i still picked up a few new points from you. These videos are filling a void.
