as someone who had no idea how, or what the electoral college was, and operated until Romney ran for office. Even then I did not understand how it worked. Now, I finally understand how the electoral college works. To sum it up in like minded people like minded people who are like me. A state like California has as many people as 30 or more States combined. So with that being said. If you are interested in becoming a presidential candidate. You would have to just concentrate on winning 3 key States! which is not fair to everyone else. So a state like Montana, is just as valuable as California or Florida. It evens the playing field among votes. If it was done by just numbers, Romney would have won the presidential nomination instead of Obama.
