When one's soul is at stake can you just rest on "I don't know" for an answer?
We have a finite existence and we only have until we die to accept and have faith in what Jesus did for us on the cross.
If you are waiting for proof that God exists before you accept what Jesus did for you on the cross then you will die lost and end up in hell for it.
If that is indeed your choice...then the consequences of it is your own fault. -
If this held up more than a little bit then professional philosophers would bring this up
-
Your rebuttal is so satisfying. I wish all people who debate WLC saw it.

Enjoy, nutters
(P1) Everything that is sentient has a cause.
(P2) The Abrahamic god is (said to be) sentient.
(C) Therefore the Abrahamic god has a cause.
KCA, refuted. -
one thing no one seems to mention is that energy and matter can not be destroyed it can only change form in equal amounts and we cant really tell how old or young most types of energy is so the universe could be renewing itself constantly and the ages we get from what we can measure perhaps the energy and matter each of us is made of is infinite years old after untold number of times of it renewing itself and changing and so on. if any entity like god exists we would be to him like bacteria is to us unless it effects us we dont really much care about it.

+AntiCitizenX I MUST translate your videos to Porguese. How do I proceed? I want to dub them and translate their texts to Portuguese.
Can someone give me any tips? -
This is a pretty good attempt at refuting the KCA. Except that it doesn't do any better at explaining the existence of the universe than WLC does. Personally I believe the god theory.
-
I don't know how this video refutes KCA? It's just an ad hominem rhetoric.

Leaving aside that i can't think of anything that has ever "began" to exist (as opposed to be a change of what is already there), i am still mystified as to how WLC thinks he can get away with a blind leap from Premise #3 to arrive at #4. Talk about a sleight of hand.
Btw WLC may argue that he did not exist in the Jurassic but he STILL will not say WHEN he actually began to exist. Did he come out of his Mother's womb looking like that? -
Whether you find WLC convincing or not, matter cannot be self-existent because it would then be infinitely old and in heat death.
QED, the ultimate reality is nonmaterial and not subject to the 2nd law of entropy. -
That's what happens when actual evidence and research take a backseat to... just thinking real hard about stuff.
-
you've forgotten about problem of induction and quantum events in the 1st premise and WLC's misrepresentation of BGV thorem and 2nd law of thermodynamics as explained by V Stenger

Slam! Kalam is laid to rest! 13:03

This redundant video defeats it's own argument.
First he promotes an argument that science is still working on it, and then a little later he reveals that it can't be known or understood "Little more than a wild guess" he says. So he is saying that science is still working on something that can't be known or understood.
And he has a very basic false understanding of God. The idea that God "desperately wants something" How laughable and naive, the desperate God hypothesis.
And his table argument is probably the dumbest in this video. Did anyone ever build a table and not know what it was for?? Gee yeah, I built this thing about four foot tall with four legs and a flat surface on top, but I don't have a clue what it could be used for. -
I once though getting a degree in philosophy might be hard, but if William Lane Craig passed then anyone refuting Cosmological Arguments for God can pass.
Btw is William Lane Craig's PHD from a christian school?
I want to know, because if it is then it explains why he was able to obtained one. Any real philosopher could still believe in God, but this argument would never fly pass them as logical. -
Well done! Thanks. JP

You may want to Google "lawrence krauss a universe from nothing" before you post this video.

Turns out you can't argue your preferred deity into existence. Who knew?
