To me the Soft boys combine Hitchcock's creat writing with very tight rhythm section and very exciting guitar work from Rew, his playing with them is as wild and exciting as RH's wild lyrics . . . I love both but would really love more from the Soft Boys before its too late. And the obscure humor was clearly there as early as the earliest Soft Boys.

It's a matter of taste,I'd say.I love the Egyptians period, no offense, but after all these years (for me, since 1981 when I learnt about him and them) I CRAVE for The Soft Boys, and I refuse to 'grow up' ,changing my mind about that. Robyn H solo is always a pleasure , I also think he's progressed with his latter records. Strangely, I don't like his involvement with The Minus Three, as much as they are most likely very nice people, they tend to get, sorry, boring..? You SAW The orig Soft Boys!?

As cool and great as the Soft Boys were, they were never better nor more entertaining as the Egyptians. This was also the intro to the obscure humor of Robyn. Honestly, he should have a late night show. C`mon, Carson Vs Robyn, no contest.
