But the Sun is tiny compared to the solar system which is tiny compared to the distance to the next star. Oh, did we mention that there are over 100 billion stars in our galaxy (which is about 100,000 light years in diameter) which is one of hundreds of billions of galaxies in just the observable universe (which might be infinite for all we know). Don't feel small. We find it liberating. Your everyday human stresses are nothing compared to this enormity that we are a part of. Enjoy the fact that we get to be part of this vastness! About Khan Academy: Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more. Our math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps. We've also partnered with institutions like NASA, The Museum of Modern Art, The California Academy of Sciences, and MIT to offer specialized content. For free. For everyone. Forever. #YouCanLearnAnything Subscribe to Khan Academy’s Cosmology & Astronomy channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChNPnEkW8LYZ5Rwi8_A2-DA?sub_confirmation=1 Subscribe to Khan Academy: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=khanacademy

so to sum it up qusars are black holes that produce x-rays ?
-
sound Good,good job "Khanacademy"

Sphere

Curios question. Most black holes are depicted as a black circle (the event horizon) Pulling in the mass around it. What I wanted to know is the event horizon really like a circle(a cylinder since it wouldn't be 2D) but has a very thin side or is it more like a sphere in shape.
-
Good job on this

@Stevesrssrssrs light years refers to the distance light travels in a year. A year is an amount of time. So the universe is years old.
-
So what's the deal? Is the Universe 13.7 billion years old or 13.7 billion light years old and exactly what's the difference between the two?
-
Just saw you on 20/20. Its amazing how the world is being impacted so heavily by the internet and people like you. i think ill subscribe and check out some other videos.
-
I forgive you, Sal. ♥
-
@koolyoh213 It is all written in cosmic bodies from electron to quasar and whole cosmos is all the same electromagnetic field geometrical formation ;)
-
@koolyoh213 First you have to learn about electic an magnetic fields ;)
-
is there a mathematical explanation for this phenomenons?
-
Thanks a lot for the videos.I always learn new stuff from your videos.

@defect530 does it matter? its the public domain. i can say what ever i want and i right so :P
-
@junior1984able He's increasing the knowledge base on the internet and allowing people to know more about the world. What is it that you are doing that is so great? He teaches in tons of subjects not just this one. Stop hating and try to have an open mind.
-
@thecalabiyaumanifold i dont need to learn from irrogant faggots like him , just cause he knows th subject, fuck t h a t, cocky f u c k
