About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Scholars like George G.M. James, Cheikh Anta Diop, and Theophile Obenga have discussed how the Ancient Greek Philosophers Thales and Democritus received their philosophy of the Atom from older Ancient Egyptian teachings related to Atum and Ptah. On episode 6 entitled “Deeper, Deeper, Deeper Still” of the 2014 Documentary “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey”, the nature of the cosmos on the micro and atomic scales is explored as Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson narrates how the Greek philosophers Thales and Democritus contributed to our understanding of the science of the Atom. The episode ends with Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson discussing the Ancient African Creation deity Ptah and his relationship to the atomic and subatomic realm.

de grasse can show what the Greeks looked like but he's obviously restricted by his producers in showing what the egyptians looked like. it's cool though. I'll take whatever mainstream media is willing to give and fill in the blanks.
thank you for sharing this. -
Professor A.C.E., just have to say that I loved how Dr. Tyson connected this ancient knowledge back to our ancestral deity Ptah, but I also have to admit that while I watched this, I couldn't stop admiring the Kemetic-themed movie theater motif you created for this video.
The twin statues of Ptah flanking the movie screen is downright lovely, and this motif is one you should definitely use for future videos.
Brilliant as always. -
