PS1 Warhawk Trailer
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
I was trying to show my friends some old clips of Warhawk for the PS1 to compare to the PS3 version. Ironicly, there was no PS1 trailer online that I could find. Though one uploader did present some gameplay from the entire game, but most people want just a quick look. Since I lack the game, I can't rip and post all of the cool cheesy cutscenes in the game, and my gramebridge isn't vista compatible, so no gameplay recordings either. I did however manage to dig up the trailer for all to view and compare to the more recent Warhawk game, so this is for all the game fans and new gamers introduced to the series, because Warhawk really is one of those classic games that is still entertaining to play even in today's standards, and if that were not alone, there were the multiple endings that were a joy to view... who can forget the main villian accidently choking to death on his food in one of the many endings? Classic I tell you! XD

@magnumgsr For the most part it's a great game, it has some nice elements including on ground gameplay, but they had cut out a lot, and ended up releasing it as downloadable content for 40 bucks... which was hard to swallow a few years back. Frankly, the updates that fixed the rushed glitches from the release really allowed it to shine. But between you and I, the PS1 is still a more special gem.

I hated how useless your side shields were...the only one that took abuse was your fucking front shield. I remember thinking, even at 11 or 12 years old "why is there no shield management in this game? I've been doing it for years now in X-wing and ect." Like...hold Select and then push with the D-pad to reinforce a section while detracting from the others, would that have been so hard?!?! Pretty damn good game otherwise. Challenging but not impossible.

PS1 version had ton of things going for it. It was very original for it's time. It had multiple endings and comical cut scenes (including one where the main villian died chocking to death on food). Overall one of the best games ever made. The new one was okay, but it's not a complete game... In fact it was rushed and half the game had to be cut as a result so that it played decently. If only I could get a copy of the original (and a PC) then I could post all the cutscenes.

They actualy were planning that, along with on foot mssions. it was much like the recent star fox games. Sadly, it didn't work out that well and there were delays, then finaly Sony decided to cut out that entire part of the game out and even the way the game was going to be released was altered.
