About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Hello and welcome to What Da Math! In this video, we will talk about the closest Earth like planet we discovered and the knowledge we have of it as of September 2016. We will also fly through the Proxima Centauri system in Space Engine. Learn more by watching the video. Enjoy and please subscribe. have you ever wondered why are most of the exoplanets so close to their stars? on the list of all planets outside Solar System it is only 18 planets with a longer orbital period than Earth (out of 3377). Is it only beacuse of the method we are using to look for them?
-
If we are to look for life elsewhere would it be better to look at red giant stars where the habitable zone would probably be huge?
-
Sorry to sound dumb, but what game/simulator is this?
-
The narrator reminds me of Kermit the frog!

Our first colony
-
It will just be a toxic shithole
-
how many planets in our milkyway which is in goldilock zone?
-
Do you think it could be a double planet system, that is tidally locked to each other instead of the sun? This would defeat the only one side is facing the sun thing.
-
Don't try to drive there!!! LOL!!!
-
Could use pop ups for comparison with the planets we know and for size compare.
-
omg that ad. so much innuendo then they get may at Trump
-
I had a cousin Ethan , you are Ethan V2

One thing I am curious about; the planet supposedly is tidally locked so that one side is always facing away for the Proxima B and we know the planet depends on it for its heat but what about light? Is Proxima B near enough to Alpha Centauri A and B that even its dark side is illuminated in light? Perhaps to the degree of full moon intensity when sharing a close position in the planet's sky?
-
Yes but consider, we wouldn't have to leave for a trillion years.
-
"Yeah so don't drive there in a car its gonna take a while." You dick! LOL!!!!
-
you simulate the wrong planet in space engine. proxima b is actually the 4th planet from its suns. you only went as far as 3.
-
i would love if space engine and universe sandbox 2 merged into one thing
-
stop saying earth like for fucks sake, they aren't really even close at all to earth
-
love your videos bro, keep up the good work!! ;)
