Ancient man used the movements of the heavens like a grand celestial clock and built monuments to mark where they were in this larger cycle of time. In reference to your idea about the 3 kings and the north star....if you watch Zeitgeist: The Movie (on YouTube) it explains that the 3 kings or wisemen were likely representations of the 3 stars of Orions belt lining up with Sirius..

I don't know if anyone has pointed this out but it's weird that whoever edits the videos put that small box of the webcam in the corner which covers up some of the writing and images we're trying to read and see....As handsome as this chap is we don't need the webcam image in the corner when images and text is on the screen....obscures the view. Thanks for the vids though...
