another comment my friend... at 1:52... the panel on the right... doesn t it look like a Tiger or panzer top surface? :) in the old days they used a lot of kits parts so if this one is made acording to the original probably it is!:) thanks again and sorry for all these comments! KUTGW

I Have the MPC kit! Love the eagle in my opinion the most realistic and beautifull "Space workhorse"! this one looks awsome!

A really informative review thanks Oggie. I look forward to watching your build up of this fantastic kit. As always, your tutorials are inspiring!

Remember my first Eagle was maybe 7 or 8 inches long, and maybe about 12 pieces put together and small decals, back in 76 or 77, love when I was 11, now 22 inches long and about 50 or more pieces and big sheet of decals, wow time have change, love the model

Hi Where can you get hold of this kit ?
-
There is actually an older Aoshima model of this ship. I'm told that it is not a reissue of the old MPC, and is therefore a unique molding from Aoshima in Japan.

Thanks for the great review! Had fun picking out the replicas of the original kit parts used as "greeblies" on the original filming miniature. Mostly bits from the Airfix Saturn IB and V kits as well as various tank kits. (One piece links the Eagle to the Millennium Falcon, that being the engine grilles of a certain WWII German tank.)

Great review! very nice detail on the kit. Those panels should take a nice wash. It would also look great lit up. Looking forward to seeing you build it!

Impressive detail! Looks like this kit is close in scale to the resin one you made a few videos ago
