Portable Solar Power System and Communications GET HOME!
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Just an overview of what I carry in my EDC/Get Home bag. It is the Anker 14 watt solar panel and the Goal Zero Guide 10 battery charger is the backbone of the kit that powers all my communication, lighting and other portable power needs. I have some redundancy with a portable crank am/fm weather band radio system and spare charged batteries as well as alternative sources that can also charge the Guide 10. Thanks FOR WATCHIN!! Please tell me about your headlamp that uses 3x18650. Thank you sir for a 1st class video!

Does the guy 10 have a built-in lithium battery?

Do you ever use this panel to charge an anker powercore? Do you ever find the system fully charge is your AA batteries and then shuts down? Do you think would be better to charge a higher capacity battery incomplete to maximize solar charging? I'm working on putting a kit like this together that's what I'm thinking.

I truly believe you've got the right way of doing things, .. I've been working on EVERYTHING running on AA batteries, battery converters to provide for those that need D batteries, and getting one of those solar panels with the Guide 10 to recharge. I also have been stocking up on Mr Heater Buddy heaters with a HEFTY supply of propane for heat to prepare for when that ASS Obama shuts down the grid with his Self Induced Economic Collapse! Have YOU thought about stocking up on those Goal Zero Guide 10's as a back-up?

I have nothing like your setup. I just rely on my truck battery and cell phone.

I've got the ground zero Nomad. Not to shabby. I like your kit, a bit heavy but, essentual

Great charging system. I only have a power converter I plug into the car. I also have a crank light/ radio similar to yours and I can charge my phone on it. No solar yet. It is on my list of must have.
Thanks for sharing
