Plan 9 from Outer Space: 30 Years Later #1 - Atop the Fourth Wall
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Welcome to Atop the Fourth Wall, where bad comics burn. In this episode, Linkara looks at a sequel comic to what many had considered for years to be the worst movie ever - Plan 9 from Outer Space! http://atopthefourthwall.com Originally uploaded September 9th, 2013. ORIGINAL INFO: Future events such as these will affect us… in 1991. RUMINATIONS: I feel like a lot more companies should be doing this kind of thing – making sequels to old bad/b-movies like this and doing something more with the concepts presented. I’m aware of only three off the top of my head – the Plan 9 sequels talked about in this episode and the Tinglers, which I covered in a Longbox episode. And while I thought the Tinglers was okay, I felt it needed more than just two issues to play with its ideas more. I had considered breaking out the Criswell impression again for the ending, but I kind of like the idea of someday Atop the Fourth Wall ending bookended by the Criswell bit, as I had done for the Introduction video I made years and years ago. I doubt it’ll ever happen, but it’s a neat thought.

Every time Linkara makes an XCOM reference, the world alters itself to become slightly less crappy. Before he made that reference the doomsday clock was like 3 minutes ahead and Russia had already taken over half of Europe. This is how I explain my completely unreasonable excitement probably just caused by the fact someone really cool referenced something I like that isn't usually mentioned, validating my opinions. Which is really what the internet is for. Finding people who actually somehow agree with you.

In speaking of movies people would consider "the worst," my pick is Skyline from 2010. I'm mean sure, the special effects look good and all, but what really kills it for me was the main characters, how annoying said characters become, and that cliffhanger ending that came without warning. I also call it the worst I've seen, because I actually saw it in theaters, and I've also seen films like Batman & Robin, Kazaam, Inspector Gadget, and Wild Wild West. But with those films, I knew what I was getting. Skyline however, ...Jesus Christ, was that a waste of time and money. At least I went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 a week later.
19:45- Ya got that right. -
It's always fun to see how long our fool elect has been made fun of.

Insert obvious election joke here

Wasn't aliens resurrecting the dead the plot to some Dr Who episodes?

I just noticed the thumbnail is parodying the Comic's cover

Thats why he thought Murphy Brown was real (I love that show)

I love Tim Burton's Ed Wood. Because of it, I'm no longer saying things like M Night Shyamalan & Michael Bay need to die.

Yes, the aliens used tech to bring up the recently deceased. And they did this to take over the world. They wanted to do this because humans hadn't responded to their messages. The aliens felt they were being seen as unimportant and wanted to make a show of force. So like any good villain, they wanted to take over after being pissed off and getting ignored. And the underlying reason for this is that they saw humanity as having the ability to one day produce a tech tech bomb which would cause devastation. It's essentially "the day the earth stood still" with sheer incompetence

That explains a lot about Trump.
-
so Donald Trump was abducted by aliens and replaced with an alien as part of a plot to take over the world
You know that explains a lot -
haha....tor and rip...I see what you did there..

Seeing the comments about Linkara saying that he is a conservative.... makes you think how outdated and how subjective is ideology between time and place.
For example, you ask in my country, and we wouldn't say that democrats are the left, and republicans the right. We would say that you a have a right party..... and a far right party.
So, if you ask from our perspective, United States looks like a conservative country itself. -
Yay! Finally, proof that people who identify as conservative can be intelligent! Too often people like to make the assumption of conservatives to be hate-mongering racist homophobes. Not every conservative is like Donald Trump, who is apparently a alien robot, to the shock and surprise of no one. I wish people would stop judging the political party by its village idiot.
