About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Master Instructor Yirser Ra Hotep give a lecture on Kemetic Yoga at the VIEW Yoga Conference January 11, 2014 @ The Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago. It is important to let everyone know that Yoga is not simply a 5,000 year old practice that originated in India, but it is something that is much older, has root in Africa and is transcultural meaning that many cultures have systems of cosmology, philosophy, meditation, movements and postures that go by many names other than Yoga. Through these truthful conversations the contributions of Kemet and Africa gain recognition and respect and humans are able to transcend the artificial differences they create.
