Getting my driver test done at 19 years old tomorrow. Almost no experience with parallel parking. This better work. I've been doing research and it seems this "S" method is just about the only way. I'll try to image the cones as a car. Only part I'm worried about. I could always mess up elsewhere though.

I drive quite often and I don't use mirrors while parking; I turn back and look through rear window and park by ''feel'' , afterwards I correct small errors to be in place. Is this a bad practice?

For the straight position of the wheel you have to turn it left/counter clockwise ? Doesn't that change the wheels and push you in early?
-
For the people that have done this method do you cut the wheel until you can't anymore when backing in to the parking spot
