Our Created Universe – Spike Psarris @ RMCF
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
For the November 14, 2014 meeting, Rocky Mountain Creation Fellowship hosted noted author Spike Psarris, who has published articles on astronomy in Creation magazine and CMI's Technical Journal. Spike was previously an engineer in the United States' military space program. He entered that program as an atheist and an evolutionist. He left it as a creationist and a Christian. Spike now writes and speaks on Biblical creation, and is the author of the DVD series, "What you aren't being told about astronomy," available at http://www.creationastronomy.com. The title of his presentation will be: "Our Created Universe," which will emphasize the fact that secular origins models cannot explain the cosmos. Science textbooks, programs, and other media tell us that we 'know' the Universe formed all by itself billions of years ago in a Big Bang event, with no Creator being involved. Despite these claims, the planets, stars, and galaxies we see contradict secular expectations. According to secular models, many of these objects shouldn't exist at all -- yet there they are. In this presentation, full of beautiful photographs from NASA and other sources, you'll discover that the Universe is consistent with Biblical creation. Rather than supporting secular models, the heavens declare the glory of God!

The devout Johannes Kepler wrestled for years with planetary motion, on the presupposition that orbits were circular. Because it was the "divine order” by the conventions of the time. The breakthrough was realising that orbits were elliptical. Just as you can't make a solar system work with circular orbits, you can't make a universe work that was created last week. Nothing adds up! The presupposition here is that the universe HAS TO BE 6000 years old, again because someone reckons it’s the divine order. This guy cherry picks any old bit of data that might seem to point that way. The sheer volume of data you MUST ignore to buy this is beyond overwhelming.
I've studied astronomy and try to keep up to date with it. I could debunk every point, but it would turn into another lecture! The technical ignorance of his audience is all that protects him. -
For some reason Creationists think that if there is evolution then there cannot be God. Do you not think that God has the power to start the universe from the beginning. Anything God creates would be divine and grand, just as the scientists are discovering. Why would God send the scientists, astronomers, archaeologists and many others on a wild goose chase. Everything that they discover in nature is there because of God and God does not play around. If the Bible is true then that means nature is lying.
God is divine and all he does is divine, it is the God of the bible that is being challenged by the world. With so many religions in the world, have you ever thought that maybe the Bible is not the word of God, like the Quran is not either. -
I see a lot of personal attacks against the speaker with virtually no creditable disputes on his claims. In logic we call the an ad hominem fallacy. It is a typical tactic used in debate, especially from the secularist, but offers nothing to the discussion. It is sad really. As believers, we do not need to stoop to the level of atheists who would not worship the biblical God even with absolute proof. We do it because we care about you. You should thank this man, even if your particular delusional state causes you to see it as nonsense and move on.

There is no one more deluded than a creationist astronomer.
-
He is a good speaker and is equipped with plenty of facts that support creation and disprove the supposed foundations for atheism... Facts and logic...

I'll agree with this much: none of us was around at the beginning of the universe or of Earth or of life on Earth or of mankind--so who knows, maybe a "deity" was involved (though there doesn't seem to be any reason to think so).
And? So? That was then. The BIG question is not whether there was a "god" back in the day, but whether there is one now: a supernatural being that can break the physical laws of the universe (to work miracles) and requires worship and obedience--in other words, a being with the potential to affect our lives.
But such a current being could only be established with current evidence--and speculations about Creation or The Beginning don't qualify. -
As a Muslim this just adds to my Faith in God good video two thumbs up!
-
This guy's got the qualifications and none of the integrity. He's a complete fraud. This is one gross misrepresentation of the facts after another. The more I listen the more my jaw drops!! This is UTTER crap, and the scientific ignorance of the live audience is all that keeps him from being bottled off the platform!

A summary of your lecture....
Secular scientist: Many unexplained phenomena. We should search for answers.
Spike: Many unexplained phenomena. There must not be an answer. No need to continue thinking about it.
Secular scientist: At the first moment something came from nothing, and we admit we don't understand it.
Spike: At the first moment something came from a complex God which came from nothing. Therefore, I understand it.
Secular scientist: The first stars were sparked by a time of much higher density and pressure than has happened in the universe since.
Spike: The first stars were impossible because a supernova is needed to trigger the first generation of star birth.
Secular scientist: The other 7 planets (that's right, I said 7) are in a surprisingly stable orbit around our sun. Their rapid compression into planets from our parent dust cloud was likely triggered by the same supernova shockwave which triggered the rapid compression of our sun billions of years ago.
Spike: The other 8 planets were set in the sky by God to lead ocean navigators astray.
I won't debate with you about whether God exists, but you use your own scientific illiteracy as an excuse for all mankind to abandon the quest for new discovery. -
I say "amazing", just keep unmasking science in spite of the comments. Thank you.

Ha ha..I didnt believe in this big bang stuff to begin with..What a joke!! nothing created everything..even typing that was absurd..And all life on earth came from a single cell meaning to say that ants, bacteria, algae, trees, blue whale, elephants, humans all came from a single cell, now thats even more illogical!! Creation has to have a Creator..This coming from a space scientist is all the more reassuring..

The biggest problem with the multiverse theory if everything is possible, then in one universe a being would come into being made up of that whole universe somewhere who would have infinite power and he would be able to manipulate all the other multiverses and he would effectively be a God, and the first one to appear would control every other multiverse being cable of destroying all the others and even traveling back in time to the beginning to do it. If everything is possible then it's possible something would arise to make it all impossible or would have total control over all possibility so, it would logically happen which would lead you right back to a God. However, I believe God always was.

This should be labled,
More mytholigy from stone age cults -
Spike is in my opinion showing great courage in informing us of the uncertainties and assumptions in cosmology. The volume of vitriolic comments, attempts at mockery etc. evidenced simply by doing a search based on his name on google seems to me to show that his information gets people questioning their own beliefs in naturalism and confirms an enmity towards a recognising a creator. I wonder if it would be true to say that all the computer simulations that 'prove' the naturalistic origin of the universe are in fact finely tuned - and in a way this proved the point about the finely tuned and created universe?
-
The Multiverse theorists say there's an infinite number of Universes so anything is possible and some of those Universes have life and others have things that may appear out of the ordinary to us. In that case God must exist also if they truly believe anything is possible. Thank you.
-
Some more problems with the multiverse: Each universe would have to have a different number of dimensions, otherwise there would be violent collisions between them. Since each universe must have a different number of dimensions they would be so different from one another that the idea of duplicate worlds where there are repeat copies of you is not possible. Also if the universes are of the same number of dimensions and they never collide then the in-between universes substrate must be expanding faster than any two universes are approaching each other, but since the multiverse predicts all events, and the collision events are absent from reality, therefore no similar universes exist.
