great to see other people loving the ou. I'm starting my ba Honours course in early childhood and I absolutely love it

Isn't casually studying physics at home after work like. Really really hard?

I know this sounds like a dumb question but I'm thinking of going on this course but can you enrol straight on a degree programme with Open University? Are there any entry requirements for example do you need GCSE's and/or A levels? As I don't have anything like that, I know OU do access modules now, so was wondering whether it might help me study at degree level because I literally can not pay for certificate, then higher education diploma etc to get there if you know what I mean.

check out that video

i'm doing s104 s141 and mst124. im not bothered about the work load im just really struggling how i'm meant to use the online services on a day to day basis, as im new to desktops and am actually quite a computer virgin. Any chance you could make a how to video to show us how to use the student home and gain acess to the social media aspect of forum usage and proceedures in the ou courses. pleeease!

Hi
I was wondering to do a full time open university course on computing. Would i get any student loan/grant or bursary for myself to help me out with books and etc?

show the cover to the camera :P

I doing the same course but as part environmental science degree honors. Lucky you get all thr books in one go. I get them in 2 part delivery. Can't wait to see the last few books. One word of warning if any one thinking of doing this course it maths heavy rather than just learning scientific facts and answering questions. Also there's a 3 hour exam right at the end of the course. Good luck to all doing doing the course.
Very interesting video. -
Did your materials come through the post?

I'm starting my degree in History in January. I'm also ex Airforce 7 years as a stacker they wouldn't pay for my degree plus I was away all the time. So now I'm out I'm going for it. Part time while I work as an instructor.

Thanks for this. Starting S104 and U116 soon. Now I've seen this I can't wait.

So, how did it go? I start S104 and the other modules you took soon. I am looking forward to my books soon. Were some of the books as dreadful as I heard (I heard 5 and 6 are poorly written)?

god i cant wait to start mine

I'd like to do the exact same course as you, hoping to do it as a second bachelors though because I'm half way though my first degree but it's a BA :(
-
God you're a nutter lol (don't mean to be nasty), thanks for the un-boxing though, I'm really thinking about going back into education and starting with this. Are you doing this course part time, full time, are you doing it all from home?
I hope you keep us updated on everything, I'm thinking really strongly about taking this course and specializing in chemistry then hopefully going into pharmacology, well that's the idea anyway whether or not it happens is another thing :) -
Yes, make sure your notes are comprehensive and get well ahead to give yourself a safety net if things happen in life :o)
