nice set up !!! Just sucks, the distance between the panels and the batterie bank.

You lose volts (not amps) when your gauge is insufficient for the amount of current passing through a conductor. And, your voltage drop seems significant for 6 of those panels being in series. The current being only 4 point something amps would most likely have to do with the panels being partially shaded or not directly facing the sun... this is normal for people like you and I who don't use sun trackers.
