I am pretty sure you can find good solution on inplix webpage :)

Very well explained. Thanks from Houston

the idea was very nice to use dc volts. actually the inverters and ups are waste because it consumes some current to operate (no load current).

Nice setup my friend. I just subbed to your channel come check out my channel when you can. 👍🏾

Using only 12 volt in my minivan, 200 watts photovoltaic with charge controller, small compressor refrigerator, a 12 volt electric mattress heater, chargers for tablet and cell phones, "Wavebox" microwave and a 27" flat TV.Back when I had a lap top I found that using a 12 volt cord instead of an inverter and the computer power supply, I could go all day instead of just a few hours without running out of power.Throughout my house I have switched to compact fluorescent and in the last few years more LED lighting. ( NOTE: LED lighting hasn't lasted very long if left on all night in the bathroom.)My house has a lighting circuit that lights the bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen. I have toyed with the conversion of that circuit to a "Joule Ringer" with 4 to 9 watt bulbs in parallel, if the Joule Ringer works should be able to run all the 120 volt bulbs I have from about 20 watts 12 volt DC.Have you ever toyed with a Joule Ringer? sometimes called a Joule Thief.

living lightly, means thinking about what one is using and not leaving a light on when not in the room etc. I have 12 volt cord for laptop and anyplace I can use 12 volt with out an inverter is always best, inverters are inefficient . Also when I drive somewhere I plan to charge something in my car...laptop, razor , I pod what have you.
great job keep at it you are making a difference in your life and the planets. Terry -
Awesome Bro!! That's how I started out. I just recently upgraded my system, batteries and inverter / charger. I'll be making a video in it too. Just waiting for fuses.
-
hi..good video..but since your safety is your priorty ..sorry for my bad inglish.. i think you sould must put a fuse in between the panels to the charge controller and a fuse between the charge controller and the battery. you also need to ground your sys in order to keep you alive during winter

Nice info. 1 thing, you can get 12v to your laptop power thingy cheap on ebay. No inverter needed. Saves loads of power. I've used one for last 3 years.

Great video, I am new to solar and this may be a dum question but have you had any issues with any bad wiring such as burnt out wiring due to any reason? Does any one know if the wire will burn out if a AC appliance is connected to a DC outlet? I have kids and I am scared that they may not know and it could mess something up. I was going to use flex pipe and run all my wiring thru it so if I need a quick fix if any issues but I'd rather not spend all the extra Money on flex tube.

Best intro to the world of DC - Thank you

Excellent job. Well done.

First, great video and a very well thought out set up. Very nice design and layout. I'm a full time RV'r and have 1000 watts of panels, 3,500 watts of Inverter and 300 amp hours of batteries. I've been doing solar for some time now. And as you, I learned everything I know online and through hours of research.
I'm confused by your fuse configuration. Tell me if I'm wrong but it seems redundant to me. You have your feed from your battery bank to your DC fuse panel going through what I would call a "catastrophic" fuse then on to your fuse panel. The biggest fuse you have in your panel is 15 amps. That said, all your fuses in your sub panel would blow well before your 100 amp fuse would blow thereby making it ineffective. Unless you had a dead short between your battery bank and your sub panel? The way your system is configured, I don't see that as an issue. It's very well designed. Just curious as I continue to learn the Solar way:) -
I really enjoyed this video. I wish I would have thought about doing 12 volts lights when I was installing my system.
Dave, would you consider doing a video and showing how you wired in the lights and the lights switches? I never really thought about doing a breaker box the way you done yours. I think that was a great idea.
Thanks for posting. -
