Nine Worlds
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
This video is a brief look on the nine worlds. It is only one possibility of placing the worlds in the world tree. The Edda also names other places which are not own worlds, but which are placed in the nine worlds. As said in the video this is the most spread perception, not necessarily the only one. The worlds of Hel, Niflheim and Asgard will also appear in the upcoming video "Death and Wyrd", dwarves and elves will have own videos.

I used to believe in the old ways then I lost my son and the "old gods" were silent so I walked away.

Isn't the plural of Jotunn Jotnar?

Thanks Annika!

Looking forward to seeing more videos from this lady. :)

Your videos are very informative, Annika! I do hope you continue making them! I am extremely interested in Asatru. I was raised Luthern, like nearly everyone in my community (northern US), but I know my ancestors were not originally christian. I find myself torn between worlds and generally ambivalent towards making a solid personal choice of religion, but I love to learn all I can about both sides!

Well, Asatru is not common in Brazil. Could you give me some tips? (I didn't even knew there were shamanic travels...)
-
No, I usually do shamanic travels alone. It is easier when nobody is around and I can focus long enough. And it is a very personal experience in that moment. But some people find it easier in a group and feel safer when someone with travelling experience is around. Just do it the way it feels right for you.

Great video! I've been watching your videos and they're really helping me understand Asatru. I don't know if am bothering you, but... You said you "reached" 4 of the worlds, were you in a group when you did it, or you did it on your own? (I'm sorry if my english is not good, i'm from Brazil...) ^^
