Maybe I'm misreading things, but didn't Dan basically shoot himself in the foot this entire play through by constantly pushing to get to the next sector as quickly as possible? By my understanding each new sector is fundamentally harder than the previous one, and technically so long as you wait around encounters WILL continue to occur in sectors of space you've already visited (see when Dan ran out of fuel). Hell, the only real motivation to move forward to a new sector regardless of being properly equipped or not in the main game is the persistent threat of the pursuing Rebel Fleet, which is non-existent in this mod...
..Is there something I'm missing? -
