Neil deGrasse Tyson Explores The Vacuum of Space
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Could you capture the vacuum of space and bring it back to Earth? What would happen? And if "nature abhors a vacuum," why doesn't Earth's atmosphere go rushing out into space? Watch Neil deGrasse Tyson fill the informational void as he answers this Cosmic Query with Eugene Mirman, then rethinks and clarifies that answer. Wow gravity is stronger than the vacuum of space ....how do I even move ,why am I not stuck to the floor....
Really are people this stupid to believe this cr*p -
he said that air pressure has no urge to go anywhere at all. what the
-
so i am confused, you say Vaccum is not gonna happen on earth with a crappy container, and that the Vaccum of Space isn't strong enough to overcome the gravity of Earth yet "Gravity" is supposed to be the Weakest force of Nature.......and i kind of chuckled when you said that we couldn't make a "perfect vaccum" here on Earth. we have, many times, but famously 2x, over Hiroshima and Nagasaki Japan
-
NASA explanations sound like make believe
-
I thought the magnetic field helped too
-
GRAVITY.....THE ULTIMATE FIX FOR EVERYTHING.....WHAT A JOKE....
-
And gravity loll keeps our atmosphere on the earth lol what!!!!! How dose the atmosphere spin at a 1000miles an hour, wake up
-
So how can a rocket work then,it cannot work in a vacuum, defies physics.
-
I'll stick with Dyson.
-
bullshit. totally weak force is not greater than a mighty vacuum, who's force trumps gravity's force in a micro second
-
notice he didn't shut his trap so guy couldn't get off another question so only answered one question. Neil the pseudoscientist degrasse would make an excellent car salesman lol
-
You mean you should have lied completely different. Some expert.
"In the laboratory, the highest vacuum that has been achieved is one having a pressure one-billionth of a billionth the standard pressure of the atmosphere." Beat that, space! [My source, How stuff works online search] I also happen to work in the gas chromatography field and we line our VOC gas collection containers with glass because of how inert glass is. {It doesn't trap many micro particles.} Do your own research. This guy can't be trusted.. -
hahahahahahaha shut up degrasse? to maintain a epic vacuum like you describe you still have to have a closed system. then i wonder how it is possible to go into space like NASA says ?.. "and the earth is pear shaped" lol
-
Ok..so who is that girl in the back ? the one in Neil`s side ?
-
You need to tip the air out of the jar first to empty it...

Dear Neil,
The vacuum in space is a strong one as you mentioned here. So how come this cannot suck out our atmosphere of 1 bar/atm? The gravitation doesn’t seem that strong. Do you have a calculus for this, pls? Let’s take the further out oxygen molecule for example. The gravitation is not strong there, but the vacuum is. What it keeps it there? -
Two u's ,that's just weird.somethings going on here

He's not the neil he's The Grass.

'very few' as in a few million.

The first time I tried watched this it was three and a half minutes of black video and no audio and all I could think was, ‘well played’.
