More DW News: http://www.dw.com/en/top-stories/s-9097 A US spacecraft is due to arrive at Jupiter where it will attempt a nail-biting maneuver designed to put it in the planet's orbit. Juno will have to dodge debris and extreme radiation. If successful, it will orbit the planet and send data to earth.

haha I like it the more there learn the ferther there go away from it

BS!

So can we have actual footage from the planet? Because the fact that you've quantified light years obviously means you can show us something.
-
NASA have so much CGI they should just make Jartian. It would be a hit

Jupiter is a giant, unique planet. It's not really a mystery how it came to exist. God created it. This quest to understand the beginning of things and how they work is innate, and always points to a Creator. Just as Juno was designed and created, so were the heavens and the Earth. The beauty of these things show the beauty of God, Who put so much thought and consideration into every atom. Here we are on a big rock spinning in space, no strings holding the planet. The universe is endless, so unless one has searched the entire universe and looked, we can't say we know it all.

Can't they just leave it there to orbit? Why crash it on jupiter?
-
can sombody please explain to me whats the benefit of burning the orbital in the atmosphere rather than leaving it there to collect data or provide live feed to people on earth?

I love science ...

Images are in. Jupiter confirmed to be 100% perfect sphere! You heard it from NASA first!

My dearly beloved daughter, the Truth divides. It always has done.
When one man says that he knows the truth, another will deny it. But when the Truth comes from the Word of God, it will cause the greatest division.
Many fear the Truth, because it is not always pleasant,
and yet without the Truth, you would live in denial. When you live in denial of the Word of God, you will never find true peace in your hearts.
Your Jesus

Juno principal investigator Scott Bolton says at this point in the spacecraft's rocket burn, the probe should be in orbit around Jupiter. The main engine will burn another 13 minutes to place Juno in the intended 53.5-day path around the planet.------------------------------- Its not that outer space is empty (dark matter) its that its many particles are so small as not to interact with matter as we know it. So what would this engine burn be pushing on?

👏🏼👏🏼Well done nasa, way to stand on the shoulders of giants!
-
this is so cool!
-
Wasting such potential, could use on its moons or could have sent more
-
How will we figure out the facts of how the universe was created by studying Jupiter?
-
why do we have to beleve space and stuff like that when you look the sky what do you see
-
I can't get any answer from Allah....

Why?
