My solar power system

1. I am building a emergency solar generator for when we have black outs. Sofar I have 4 100w panels, 4 120 anp 12 volt AGM batteries, I am going to order a 3000w pure sign wave inverter. As fas as the charger controller go's, I don't know which type to go with, an MPPT or a PWM, which do you think would be best for this application?

2. Just saying. You highlight the screen covered holes that vent the hydrogen from the battery box. The box in in the power building. Then you emphasize that the system keeps the hydrogen out of the power building. And you do this, how?

6. Use AGM batteries instead of liquid filled.
7. Don't like criticising after doing such a good job though because you are so concerned about "vents" an inch or so spacing between batteries wouldn't hurt cooling.

11. I have a very small mobile home. I just want to power a tv, speakers, playstation, a couple of lamps, a couple of room fans, maybe a computer would this be a good setup for that? or would i want more or less?

13. nice setup.. I'm envious.. but I feel as if you don't have enough panels to keep your batteries topped off..

15. If you don't mind telling, what does a set of those 6 volt batteries set you back these days? I managed to get eight new Interstate 6 volt batteries but I had to do a lot of hustling to get those. By hustling, I mean I gathered old worn out car and truck batteries for trade-ins which significantly reduced the price. But a truck load of old batteries still had me forking over one seventy five to two hundred bucks a set. 
16. Why don't you set a one inch distance between the batteries to allow them to ventilate better and therefore be cooler when charging?  Also, why is a sealed-down lid necessary if the little building is locked?

20. If you use desulfators your batteries will last some more years. Oh, and if you have dead batteries that are not lead-acid, freezing them will turn them back to life
