Multiverse: One Universe or Many?
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
The inflationary theory of cosmology, an enduring theory about our universe and how it was formed, explains that just after the Big Bang, the universe went through a period of rapid expansion. This theory has been critical to understanding what’s going on in the cosmos today. But now, this long-held notion—which seems to suggest as-yet-unproven and perhaps unprovable features such as the multiverse—is under increasing attack. Through informed debate among architects of the inflationary theory and its prime competitors, this program explored our best attempts to understand where we came from. lets assume that we reached the edge of out universe what's next ?

if there were a multiverse I would want to travel to Earth 2 or Earth 38 to see my doblegamer

Everything that can happen will happen infinite number of times (four headed cows) is like a typing chimp in infinite time will write all of Shakespeare or a flapping butterfly give rise to a tornado, is as meaningless as if a drop of water in an ocean change anything.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is an 1865 novel written by English mathematician Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll. a young girl falls into another universe . Which led her to OZ. Which took her to the pulp magazine genre. That ended in scifi fantasy stories and wonder woman issue 59 parallel world story. (or mr MYX in supperman 1945 issue from the 5th dimension.
ALL of this pre dates Hugh Everetts multi worlds theory 1957. The origination of the multiverse theory if you are the scientific Type that gets his ideas from trash culture. -
Infinite universes contained in one overarching infinity.... paradox is fun :)

Scientists are now debating whether time actually exists, or whether our world (one of an infinite number) exists from instant to instant. Time is but a human construct.
I believe there are an infinite number of universes, some hostile to "life" (whatever that life might be) and some suitable for "life", such as ours. -
The great irony: Multiverse theory proves god. Scientists only started accepting the Multiverse as science (rather than science fiction) when physicists realised the fine-tuned laws of reality were infinitely unlikely to happen by chance. Their response was, "well, there's infinite universes." But if there are infinite universes, the chance of ONE of those universes having a god would be 100%, just like this universe would have a 100% chance of existing. And if that god (or infinite gods) could move between universes (also a possibility, therefore 100% in multiverse theory), then there would be a 100% chance that this universe also has gods.

Can the Many Worlds Theory help solve a way around the grandfather paradox? in that theory all possibilities exist there for allowing you to stop your grandfather and not change a thing. Also how about Quantum Superposition and its relationship to time travel.

I like to believe that there's a version of me who doesn't suck somewhere out there.
