Nice work! I built a couple of these kits when I was younger, but I never really did anything more than glue the stock kit together.
One thing I wanted to note though; You mention that you can get sheets of styrene plastic at your local hobby shop. You should add "If you live in a good-sized city." Because if you live in a small town, or even a smaller city, good luck finding a hobby shop these days. There used to be 3-4 of them around here, now there's none. Other than some kits in a comic book store, I can't remember the last time I even saw an actual model kit in a store. I wouldn't even know where to buy a tube of Tester's model cement locally anymore. :( -
Wow, that was a lot of work. You really do need a hobby. ( hahahaha:) seriously though, it was beautifully done. Seems like whenever I put that much work into a kit, something goes horribly wrong. (Cats, lost parts, others 'cleaning up':) It was a corny show, but I miss it. Also miss growing up with the old 'Thunderbirds' show. Had a Fireball XL-5 toy, rather large, as a kid.

I don't use a Dremel, I prefer a small power screwdriver with a drill chuck bit, keeps the rotating speed really low and allows for very precise drilling

One of my fav sci-fi ships- I like the cut out and detail- I just dont know how patient I could be with it--- great job, though!

Great idea upgrading those cargo pods. Really adds Fidelity of Detail to your model. AWESOME WORK.
Keep having fun Brother.

I have not been viewing in a while. This video was a nice surprise. Somehow you always seem to pick models that I pass over. then I watch what you do with them and I am amazed. Looking great.

Hi looking good so far, nice job with the sanding and scratch building. How long did that all take? I have watched a couple of episodes its so cheesy now but great to watch. good luck with the rest of the build.

Why not scratch build the cage.
-
I should have done that when I built mine.
I made the landing pods removeable, so I should still be able to drill and file these out.
I want to build a much larger Eagle in the future once I get moved and have some time. -
great job .. looking forward to the further reveal !
