If the earth is doing what you are saying, then how do satellites return to Earth years later, that is supposed to be millions of miles away? How can a satellite that is moving 17,000 mph reach Mars, that is moving away from the spot it was in multiple times that of than the satellite?(Unless that is a lie also, then I understand).

So still, your definition for orbiting fits perfectly with the movement of Earth AROUND the Sun. Like clearly shown in the video, this orbiting is irrespective of the general movement of the solar system and is superimposed on it, so indeed the combined movement occurs as a spiral. Your line of thought would be like stating that the wheels of a car do no revolve around their axis because the path through the street of any point on that wheel is a cycloid. Earth IS orbiting the sun, and it is even acknowledged in this very video. 'What was taught to us in school' is not incorrect, but merely part of a larger truth. Of course you are making an important point here, but there is no need to 'prove' it by undermining an incomplete perspective being taught at school, as it actually makes one of the key principles of the extended solar system model.
