try to make 48v+48=(168v) on a new battery solar power system

Are those blue looking cylinders capacitors? If so, can you give details?

I've been watching a lot of your videos over the past few days. I like that your products are made in the USA (at least for the most part). One question, are your wind turbines plugged into the house electrical system or just into battery banks? I have very little experience working with electricity so I apologize if my question seems newby-ish in nature. Thanks.

Good Video... I've just ordered my Freedom II.... All your videos are helpful. Just wondering where you got your really cool Brass gauge Wind speed monitor... I haven't found it on your website store.

Do the caps help on the system?
-
Good info Mr. Jeff.
Thumbs up video!~~John -
Great video, now should there be two wire attached to the ground rod; one from the inverter and the other from the battery?

Do you, yourself, use the products you promote and I assume, sell, in your routine daily electrical usage, percentage wise? Of course I know so much relies on the sun but do you store and circulate enough electricity routinely to not ever rely on Public Companies? Our state has a solar incentive that may be worthwhile. Do these products produce energy that can be shared with public utility companies or are they strictly for emergency or occasional alternative use?

THANKS! I just finished installing my setup in its more permanent location and your video had impeccable timing lol... this was the one part I was unsure of...

Hi Jeff, looks like you're using capacitors in your setup there. Can you do a video (maybe you have and I've missed it) of how they're wired into your inverter? Great video - very informative as always!

I didn't know that the battery negative should be grounded to earth.....thank you for that tip. I live in South Carolina and the lightning is a real danger so if you have any more info about lightning protection please pass them along.
-
WOW I would not of thought of that.Thank you so much for bring the idea up. I am learning so much from you.Thank Again.

Nice video Jeff. Do you know if the negative pole on the inverter is connected to the ground as well?

The (NEC) National Electrical Code requires one 8-10 foot ground for inspection for insuring your building.
Like your slides. (sandals) -
they should also ground the frame of the generator too. the frame can develop a potential in the right circumstances.

keep up the good work

I thought you were going to use A pencil when you point out things. Instead of the finger so your hand does not block the shot.

Very informative video...good job. Mine is set up the same way. I use solid copper. The hardest part of grounding the system was banging the rod down...after that easy peasey. Again, very helpful video. I am sure many don't ground properly or at all.

A good book to read on lighting strikes is "Frying Tonight" buy Dr Sindgemeassoff . Its got all of the big strikes in it including the one on the International space station. Lol

All of the Mccunes look alike . LOl . Depending on soil conditions things are different . My best fiend is a grounding expert . The ufer ground was always the best . If you have decent soil verse rocky . Its actually a great idea to add several ground rods 6 to 8 foot apart . Tie the the rods together without cutting the wire . If you have a ditch for excavation you can also lay the rods sideways in the ditch 30 inches down an tie together . Grounding used to be about 20 pages in a book . Now its whole books . Helped my buddy with a lot of these projects . Cad welding is the real grounding for government work . Regardless, great channel ,great info . My buddy always used Mike Holt and Tim and Tom henry a lot for good info . One time I replaced a one of those switches that you can control a light from two different locations . I am kinda a big deal now . LOL Hope those freaks that were bothering you have gone away Jeff . Wettest June in Missouri history . Take care
