Performed by Edgar Winter, words and music by L. Ron Hubbard Lyrics: On the planet of a distant sun There lies a city of joy and fun Where people laugh and play And leave their trouble for another day CHORUS: Oh Joy City, oh Joy City What fun, oh my Oh Joy City, do this every day Do it every day, Oh Joy City Come along and play every day It's a special kind of wonderland Once you've been there you'll understand Enchanted fantasy More than you could ever plan to see CHORUS: Oh Joy City, oh Joy City What thrills, oh my Oh Joy City, do this every day Oh Joy come my way Do this every day Og Joy come on and play Rollercoasters and racing cars Picture posters and famous stars Oh Joy City, come along and play Oh Joy City, do this every day So exciting the games of chance Inviting flames of new romance Oh Joy City, come along and dance Up on a ride, over the side You see such sights, what lights Oh Joy City, do this every day AD LIB & REPEAT CHORUS

This is the music they would use at the RPF to torture the slaves. They would play this song 24 hours straight to drive them insane,

This is like 80s to the tenth power. Lets hear it for Hot wheels, Lego's and He-Man!
-
it's as if Edgar White is staring into my soul
-
i finally found an album more 80s than into the gap
-
This is not Edgar Winter music, people. All lyrics and music are by L. Ron Hubbard. Edgar is simply performing it exactly as written by Hubbard. No telling how much Hubbard paid him to do this...
-
this is hilarious, and definitely not bad. Just terrifying, in its own way.
-
This sounds like the intro to a children's show in th early 80s .Except ,at the end of this song the kids get abused
-
This song writing could only come from a man as complex a Jesus Christ himself. I totally see what Tom Cruise and Will Smith see in Scientology.
-
what does Edgar see in that Scientology ? what does he get out of such a phony religion?
-
Funny thing is: this music is so immemorable. Thankfully, this will never be an earworm.
-
It sounds like the intro music to an 80's sitcom. It's not bad if judged by that standard, but since L. Ron Hubbard was involved it must be a major contribution to music, one which will be remembered throughout the ages.
-
Sounds like Alderberan or the Pleides people having a ball.
-
I'm surprised Ed Winter fans haven't already posted it.
-
such a funny song, where was this all this time, a 80's rarity so many of the new generation have not heard this.
