Memorable Moments and Lines from Space Quest 6

2-13-15: I just heard the news that Gary Owens has passed away. He was an incredible man, and he truly will be missed. UPDATE (6-11-12): We've made the $500,000 Kickstarter goal, and as of this posting, the number is still rising! A big thank-you to everyone who contributed to and promoted this project! UPDATE (6-2-12): The Two Guys From Andromeda have reunited and have started a Kickstarter campaign to help fund a brand new sci-fi comedy adventure in the vein of the classic SQ games. As of this posting, there's barely a week left to pitch in and help them out, so if you haven't funded this project yet, DO IT NOW!! http://kck.st/JVeY2T My first video, and hopefully not one that will get me banned. For those of you unfamiliar with Space Quest, it chronicles the adventures of a perpetually befuddled janitor who ends up saving the galaxy several times over, spoofing every element of popular science fiction (why it had to be cancelled when there is still plenty of cheesy sci-fi pleading to be parodied is beyond me). SQ6 isn't exactly the best game in the series, but it's got some of the greatest dialogue (the narrator is the incredible Gary Owens!). The number of funny moments is near endless, but I've collected several of them and set them to music from SQ6 and one of its prequels (the text at the end is incorrect; there's no material from SQ3 in this video). Shameless plug time: More SQ/Sierra videos by me here: http://akril15.com/Art/Art.html A few little Sierra fanfics here: http://akril15.com/Literature/Literature.html And a really big fanfic here: http://akril15.com/kq9 By the way: the Space Quest series (as well as the King's Quest, Police Quest and Leisure Suit Larry series) has been released as a new collection by Vivendi Universal, and are now WinXP compatible (they also work with Windows Vista and 7). VU did a shoddy job putting the collections together, but at least they're reasonably priced.

Yes the narrator is sarcastic, but he's not as amusing as the narrator in Police Quest IV.
-
I burst into tears laughing when the narrator scolded me for giggling at the word penal, because I was.
-
Still love this game today. :) This makes me want to play the whole series again. (It's BlockMaster btw)

I don't get 1:14

I can't believe you forgot Nigel Rancid stripping.
-
Nothing about the bike quote?
-
You can also try ScummVM.
-
"I wanna see something blow up!" Haha, oh Roger
-
...somehow I managed to miss all the funny bits in this game..
-
This is Feral! Bring me chopper backup!
-
@joshcmagic At the Sierra Help Pages, they have installers for all Sierra games that help get the game to play, also to play in DoxBox without problems.
-
4 people were somehow misdirected to this video instead of CoD:MW2 videos.

@Akril Finding that coin was a total beach D:
-
About the John joke, It's all because of the story of Robin Hood. :D
-
@joshcmagic Yes, DOSBox is usually the best method to getting these old games running, especially on very new systems.
-
GARY OWENS IS AWESOME!!! I wish I could meet him one day.
-
@CyclopeanLiam Hmm, both of those ideas DO make more sense than the coin in KQ6.
-
@HBourgoin When the narrator says, "It's a little objectionable to assign sexual identity to the computer", he means that it's strange that Roger should call the computer by a masculine term ("Mister") when the computer is just a machine and doesn't have any gender.
-
@Akril But how is it in any way "sexual"?
