Mega-CD Longplay [062] The Space Adventure - Cobra: The Legendary Bandit
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
http://www.longplays.org Played by: ScHlAuChi An adventure game by Hudson that has alot in common with Snatcher. Its the second game in a series, the first one was only released in Japan. I did show a few deaths which sets you back to an earlier point in the game. This was cut out in the video to avoid having to rewatch those parts again. Anyway enjoy this insane adventure! Special thanks to Mad-Matt for helping me getting this finished :)

I had the sega cd but I never knew this game existed. I remember playing Willie Beamish, and Road Hunter on it and may have moved on to another system before this game became available. So it basically plays like a visual novel I see. Thanks for satisfying my curiosity.

Alternate ending. It's pretty well established that only Cobra can use the psycho gun. So by absorbing the psycho gun the ultimate weapon becomes fatal to Vigaro. Masterless, the ultimate weapon shrinks back into an egg... then melts in the lava fields... or is lost or something. Doesn't matter as long as it's gone.
Also, does anyone know what the significance of that red eyed, skull goat thing at the end of the credits is? -
This is an awesome game. I just wish that the Western regions like these kind of games and the games that Japan likes instead of all of the garbage we have to have and to play.

HNNNNGGG, I really want that song that plays on 10:08...
-
the voice acting isn't too bad either

No problem & I appreciate your reply. But damn I went thru that whole place like 3 times and talked to everybody over & over, hmmmm....
-
Didnt see your comment earlier, but usually it means you havent talked to every person / visited every place. Once you did the options becomes available.

Man, Just learned about this game, as a fan of snatcher and policenauts, looks kinda like an unnoficial sequel by Hudson... CooL
-
1:06:29 The birth of a legend.... ROCK KNIGHT!!!!!
-
Did anyone else start singing "She drives me crazy... and I dont want help..." when the music first starts? Fine Young Cannibals much?
-
Yep it is possible, but the only penality is that you have to replay the whole section again (which i did out when i did show deaths)
-
Is it possible to lose in this game? It seemed like every possible incorrect decision would warrant a "That won't work, try something else" response.
-
Thanks for posting this. I'm going to need it. Even gamefaqs dot com does not have a walkthrough.

I have to say it's a fun game to watch all in all, play though, maybe not so much. Very little done to involve the player. With Snatcher, at least you had some simple shootem mini-games to get the player more drawn in and test their skill. If this game had at least conversation challenges where you had to choose correctly to get past certain situations, that would have improved on things considerably, as it is, the game seems perfect as a long play , but I don't feel keen to actually play it.

1:05:00 What is that on the wall? It's.. It's... THE TROLL STINGRAY! 1:54:10 Clearly the dancer is having a epileptic shock from the dance globe, MEDIC! 1:55:04 The bartender.. is a big sea urchin.. with a single big green eye... Someone call the discovery channel! Also, did ant eaters evolve into a sentient species over the course of a few thousand years? Because that's what it looks like with the guy to the left. 2:28:40 and now you're following Egor up to meet Frankenstein, fantastic.

This. Game. Is. Fuck. King. Cool!!!
-
No it's not. It's similar to Snatcher simply because it belongs to the same type of Japanese graphic adventure game or also known as visual novel. These have always been very popular in Japan but not so in the western regions.
-
It's a Hudson game by all means. Konami had absolutely nothing to do on it.

Is it just me, or does the main character look like Street Fighter's Ken in some shots? O_o
