Making a Space Board - X-Wing/BFG etc
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
G'day everyone. I decided I'd set up the tripod and film the process of making the 2nd space board for the chaps at Next Level Games Preston - my FLGS. The process is simple and takes from the amazing art that rattle-can artists use to make space painting. Just wondering, how do you make planets like Saturn with those rings and all?

Awesome!

Wow, that is a radical idea for making space boards--I LOVE it! You are very creative, mate! I do model trains and wargaming, so I'm always on the watch for new ideas and techniques. I've picked up several from you already. I like and I subscribe! Hoping to learn more from you, so best wishes and thank you!

Oh my god! Consider my mind blown, it is awesome yet simple how you paint the planets. Flicking the white paint for stars, it all makes sense! I assume you sealed it after as well, great channel. Look forward to more updates, do you think you could do one on 'fighting painter's block', I just can't get back into it no matter what I do, yet I keep ordering models!

Hey Viv, what if you wanted to do something like this but with a cloth mat instead of a board? Same technique, or some changes needed?

Viv, that might have been simple, but very helpful to see demonstrated. Thanks again for sharing your great tips with us!
