LOST IN SPACE - Reluctant Stowaway - Reboot - CGI
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
This CGI video is a re-imagining of the LOST IN SPACE episode – “The Reluctant Stowaway” first aired in 1965. It’s not a full episode but just the beginning to give you a feeling of what direction the series may have taken. After watching this I can imagine a few possibilities… I have given this “new” episode a new title – SABOTAGE. In this short presentation, you will see obvious similarities and some big differences. Also, I used this as an opportunity to study some different effects and to work on the character models a bit. I hope you enjoy some of the expanded set pieces.

I return to view this often. It is like artwork for me visually.
This is soooo cool that i wish it was or might be? included on the LIS Blu Ray disk set in whatever bonus material they offer as this is very worthy. -
LOVE the camel toe! :p

You do very good work. You must have a very tolerant wife!

VERY interesting! Colorizing is great but shouldn;t B9 have more color? Like red claws? Would love to see MORE!

This is great work you should do a full new season 4 series of Lost in Space.Maybe with them finally reaching the inhabitable planet around Alpha Centauri and strange things happening there and also finally contacting Alpha Control.
By the way I was age 7 when Lost in Space was first on the network.
I watched it with my family on a 1948 Zenith black and white console television with a round CRT tube.
We also had a 1965 color Magnavox Television in the basement and watched some programs on that one too but I was more fond of the older television especially with earlier programs like the Outer Limits and Twilight Zone.I do barely remember watching the ultra violent Untouchables on that old Black and White TV but I was very young then. -
@hamiltonpl my previous acct and comments on this post from last year have been all deleted. So, I am back to say.
THANK YOU for this amazing creation of art and re imagining. You absolutely captured the fine detailing and audio sound editing. It felt ike being a kid all over again with the same wide eyed innocence I had when the show first aired just sitting on the rug in front of the set with my mouth dropped open in amazement
I love all the hard work, labor of love that you put into this and wish for more. Every detail from the blinking lights of computers processing to the smoke emanating from the lit cigarette to seeing, actually seeing and making out the interior of the ship through the view port on the outside. Loved seeing the Alpha Control and ship on launch in color
Your sims o animation, whatever the process is called did a great job on this. Dr. Smith in this appearance really looked like a classic Nazi spy saboteur ,really evil. I liked him like that. I was absolutely thrilled with the alternate ending and the Robot's premature attack.
I am hopping that you are working on a part two in some way Would love to see your take on their crash landing episode ""Island in the Sky"" Thanks for the brief trip into my past and youth. -
good job-mind you they would have to change the title to 'Lost on the launch pad.'
-
