Live astronomy with the Revolution Imager and live stacking from Sharpcap. In this broadcast you'll galaxies, galaxy clusters, star clusters and the "great orion nebula" These views were captured using: - 8" TPO Imaging Newt ($500 scope) - Celestron AVX mount - Revolution Imager camera - Red #29 filter ($20) - Antares 0.5x focal reducer Sky conditions were slightly cloudy, under heavy light pollution and a full moon! In this broadcast you'll still see a number of galaxies millions of light years away.

Stepping back and forth (via the video slider control on YouTube player) between the beginning of a live capture for a particular target and the end of the capture sequence for that object, the only difference I am seeing is a reduction in image noise. I was expecting to see an improvement in the target as frames got stack. For example, I was expecting the spiral arms of a galaxy to grow and become more detailed as more photons are collected - but that doesn't seem to be the case . . . somewhat disappointed.
