Let's Play: Shogun 2 - Shimazu Campaign (Legendary/Co-op) - Part 63: "The Race For Kyoto"

First battle is at the start. Cosmic is holding out against a vastly superior Takeda force. He is besieged and the Takeda are assaulting his walls. Victory is possible. In a MASSIVE turn of events, the Shogunate faction starts constructing a legendary building at the seat of the shogunate, Kyoto. In order to prevent them, and seize the benefits of constructing this building first for ourselves, we will need to attack them and besiege them, and wrest control of the city from them. The attack on the seat of the Shogunate has been accelerated. I am not comfortable with attacking this early, I am not ready, and much could go wrong. My Daimyo shall be the vanguard, as is appropriate. Hopefully supporting agents and armies can arrive in time to prevent him from being endangered. Kyoto is no castle fort, and the Shogunate probably has a large garrison. CosmicContrarian and I play a Co-op campaign on the infamous "Legendary" difficulty.
