Tomorrow, May 16th 2011, Space Shuttle Endeavour STS-134 is scheduled for its final launch at 8:56am EDT (12:56 UTC). Be sure to watch live at http://www.nasa.gov/ntv or http://spaceflightnow.com/shuttle/sts134/status.html I mentioned Orbiter in an earlier Minecraft video, and figured this, the day before an actual space shuttle launch, would be the best time to try a first impressions let's play of it! Its very difficult to install and get configurated to even start playing, but I do my best to at least show you through a tutorial mission of launching the Space Shuttle. Wow, so much hate on this video. If you're here to learn about the game or see a review, you're in the wrong place. Go watch his latest videos and you'll see the type of content he makes; they're called "let's plays". People who subscribe to Kurt do so because we enjoy his narration and personality - the game is like a bonus. His main series Far Lands or Bust is him literally walking in a game for 35 minutes and talking to us.

Actually, the launch countdown was spot on! The shuttle engines start at Time minus 6 seconds.

umm those stars look like someone used the hubble deep field image as a texture. in which case those would be galexies.

Yes Orbiter is way cool and it's free. There's a great free addon by Dan Steph called Universal Cars And Cargo (UCGO). It contains lots of things to have fun with. Check out my Orbiter videos and see.

I Think this guy who made the simulator got the Earth Texture from a Free Software named Celestia ...
