I like to write. And I LOVE to write parody. So ... as I found myself on the never-ending quest to achieve control over the LEGO sprawl in our home, I decided to write a song about it. In March (of 2016), I had lots of potential lyrics jotted down, but I was struggling to find a song that would really bring them to life. Then, one day that month, I was listening to Taylor Swift's "Blank Space", and I realized: "This will work!" And not only could my already-written lyrics fit, but ... HOW MUCH FUN would it be to spoof Taylor's many outfit changes and visual imagery from her iconic video!?! And so, a project was born. Much of my spare time in April was dedicated to the recording, planning, filming, and editing of this parody work.
