About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
This week, we'll have +Tavi Greiner as our guest, talking about individual or informal astronomy outreach. "Too often, I hear from individuals who desire to encourage others in astronomy but are intimidated by their lack of title or larger audience. I have several fun ideas to encourage these individuals, as well as some reference studies that generally prove the value of informal outreach." Tavi Greiner is: Former Program Director for Slooh.com Former Outreach Director for Astronomy.FM Co-Founder of A Sky Full of Stars Astronomy Productions Co-host of Deep Sky Divas and Space Has Curves Links discussed in the show: paper: http://aer.aas.org/resource/1/aerscz/v11/i1/p010109_s1 http://www.stellarium.org/ Tavi's Twitter: https://twitter.com/tavigreiner http://www.flickr.com/photos/tavigreiner2011/ Look for followup tomorrow on http://cosmoquest.org/blog
