Someone once asked me about the Medieval Kabbalistic estimate for the age of the universe of 12.5 billion years. DOD cryptographer Harold Gans has the following to say on the subject.

"[Sefer ha-Temunah teaches] in the coming shemittah under the dominion of Tif'eret, the sefirah of balance, the number of positive precepts will equal that of the negative ones [unlike the current array of 365 negative and 248 positive precepts]" (Moshe Hallamish, An Introduction to the Kabbalah, p. 203-4, cf. Yehuda Liebes, Studies in the Zohar p. 124).

It should be noted that the Tiqqunei ha-Zohar, Maimonides, and the Arizal reject the literal interpretation of the doctrine of shemittot alluded to in Genesis Rabbah 3:7 and fully developed by the Sefer ha-Temunah.

There are four books mentioned: Sefer Yetzirah, Sefer HaTemunah, Sefer Otzar Chaim, and a fourth book he says really fast at about 2:30 that I didn't catch. Here are two videos from Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan: watch?v=WAB19Jyp1BA and watch?v=g9gflnY8NDM

I'm not following. I don't think the video delt with anything in your comment, but maybe I could tackle your questions. 1. I don't even know how to address this one, it's not even a proper sentence. 2. Are we/they looking at what from a human standpoint? 3. A singularity and a photon are not equivalent, but I suppose that if a universe were to implode it would be considered a singularity.

Interesting. But what would constitute the universe from not existing? Are we/they looking at it from a human standpoint? As is in suitable situations that life forms of this planet can inhabit across the universe? Even if a universe were to self implode....it would still at its smallest point return to singularity( a photon?) I'm not arguing, because it would be silly for me to argue things I don't fully understand, but saying something that we don't fully understand, won't exist...????
