1. could the quantum eraser just be sorting the photons?

8. Let's call it the "umami force".

While it is true that the interleaving of "C" & "D" photons wipes out/hides the ability to define a "backward in time winning lottery number", this should easily be overcome by using onitial photons of say differing wavelengths (or any traceable characteristic encoded onto the photons as they are 1st generated...before the slit). Then, imagine 200,000 photons of ever so slightly differing wavelengths with each photon being slightly longer (or shorter) in wavelength than the one prior. You'd have 200,000 uniquely identifiable photons that WOULD be identifiable through the obscurity of "C" & "D". This "tagging" of each photon (as i call it) is a minor variation on an age old puzzle (wrongly attributed to MENSA) which allows only one weight measurement to determine which one of three bags of gold colored coins, is the genuine gold bag. Overall, my point is that of information density: to encode data & be able to extract it later, requires a high "up front" loading (tagging) of data...but it can easily be done. And yes, the next question (able only to be answered I suspect, experimentally) is: what effect would wavelength tagging have on the screen in full quantum eraser experiment?

    Only imagination sets the limits to how much damage these machine would have caused reality.
13. wow! i put this 5th force idea to a physicist at cern 2 years ago, he rejected it with reason but this is mind blowing.
14. CHALLENGE: Why can't you simply build a device for each possible number, spin them all up, and the next day, only complete those detectors' loops corresponding to the correct numbers? In other words, once you spin them all up, you will know the numbers immediately because only those detectors with the correct numbers will have an interference pattern at all - you won't have to read the pattern, just detect it

17. Most who seriously talk about QM and consciousness are not about any sort of sentients per say. I like how Tegmark puts it, paraphrasing, 'there is no need for secret sauce, we can define consciousness as what information being processed feels like to the information being processed'. This implies that consciousness in physics is tied to entropy but still no psychic powers predicted from this view. While metaphysics is still not physics, the prohibition on using the word consciousness has got to stop. And that is my rant on consciousness.
