https://www.altestore.com/store/midnite-solar-inc-m85/ Sascha Deri, CEO of altE, visits Roy Butler from Midnite Solar at the Solar Power International 2016 show in Las Vegas. Roy explains Midnite Solar’s new ground breaking power system. It is a module system with room for up to 40kW of inverter, two types of solar charge controllers, 200V and 600V, and cool retro meters to monitor the whole hot-swappable system. The yet to be named products should be available some time in 2017. We forced Closed Caption on, due to the loud background noise.

This POS is made way too complicated. It's over engineered just for the sake of keeping a retro look. There are excellent charge controllers out there that won't force you to dedicate an entire room to your solar system.

Whoa... way to go.
-
Awesome!
-
I just wonder where are the batteries? You said battery based that would be alot of batteries for 40Kw. It also looks very expensive?
-
I love alt-e, but you guys really need to invest in some audio equipment! get yourself an inexpensive zoom H1 even. thanks for the videos and for sharing! I do appreciate it, just constructive criticism.

Can't wait to to see this life.

Obviously many bells and whistles that you don't need. Lets go cheaper not more expensive.
All this does is scare away potential installations. People mistakenly believe that solar is too expensive. This just confirms their opinion. Solar does not have to be expensive. -
Very cool looking system.
-
Very nice system.
-
And you have to ROB a FKN bank to pay fo it.
-
Very Nice I love The Look and Shut down Features
-
any ideas about the cost ?
-
when is this available?
-
I will say the midnight charge controllers I have seen on the Internet YouTube stuff like that look like they would be made really good very high-quality I assume I've never owned one I have thought about trying to get one but they look far too intimidating to me I don't even know if I could set one up
-
Looks very impressive however it's way over my head I still have a pretty simple set up really
-
hopefully all this innovation will bring prices down instead of up.
thanks
