If it was original packing, you will never unbox it. It will have bigger price than your whole channel :)

Clicky sound is bad?

The keyboard seems to be in great condition, but please don't describe this as "new". It is not. That label laminating thing is what some re-conditioners do when they clean everything up. They scrub the back plastic cover and immerse it in water - so they remove the label. IBM certainly did not laminate. You are correct that it would also would have come with a cable, and also instructions and warranty card.

Do you still have this? Are you intending to keep it or sell it. I would be very interested if you were to sell it.

dude if you ever end up selling that keyboard please let me know! That model date is my birthday!!!! That would be so sick

ive seen one of these for 2000$ on ebay.

The difference between cheap model m spacesaver keyboards and expensive model m spacesaver keyboard is the location of a backslash and enter keys. The cheap keyboard has a vertical enter key and the backslash is located down on the bottom row next to the right shift key, along with a second backslash on the left side of the keyboard. The one shown here has a "normal" layout, with backslash above the horizontal enter key. I loathed my cheap SS keyboard, I could never get used to it because all the other keyboards I typed on had a "normal" layout.

One day, i'll have one aswell.....

I remember paying $75 back in 1992 for a Model M. I thought it was outrageous but I've never owned another type of keyboard since, except for gaming. Even then, a model M is the way to go if you really like that tactile feedback.

o no, i meant the ones that other people are selling. new is just too difficult to find. i managed to snag an excellent condition spacesaver with new keycaps this week and i am enjoying the hell out of it.
-
It was new old stock, never typed on when I got it.
-
How much did you pay for this at the auction?
-
This is the expensive one? What is the difference between the cheaper one and the expensive one? What would you rather get a new cheaper one or a used more expensive one?
-
if only it were new!
-
It's worth it!

eBay is probably your best bet. Sometimes they show up in thrift shops but not so much any more. They used to be widely available in computer surplus shops about 10 years ago for very cheap but those days are gone.

I'm using a unicomp remake of the ibm model m and I absolutely love it :)

I like using these keyboards to play old old old games like Quake II and DOOM. There is nothing like the feeling when playing these games on these type of keyboards. Even the Unicomp keyboards are great gaming keyboards for the old DOS games ;-)
